How Big is God??

Fromthe desk of Pastor Jim Fryer, Independent Bible Baptist Church, Pittsburg, KS

"He's big enough to rule this mighty universe, Yet small enough to live within my heart."

So, the question really is, how big is your heart??  Do you see need of the world, or the need of each individual where they are and their situation?

The Good Samaritan is a good parable (earthly story with a heavenly meaning) to describe the way we should give and be thankful all in one gesture of love and mercy, much like Jesus when He went to the cross.  He was giving!  If you read in John, He thanks God for giving all those followers that He has had on earth.

One great gesture or action of love, forgiveness, mercy, basically the Fruit of the Spirit all wrapped into one package.  Are we Jesus?  Not a chance!  But according to God's wonderful Word, we can be little Jesus' walking around.  That is what a Christian is:  one who tries to live, mimic, and obey the Master teacher.  We are to mirror Jesus Christ, his gesture, his actions, his attitudes, doing and being whatever He would do and be.

Following the leader--a forgotten game--describes totally the submission and reliance that a Christian must have with their relationship to Jesus Christ.  So, answer the big question--not how big is your God, but how big is your heart to submit, forgive, love, give mercy, endure, and follow His commandmnets regarding living and giving of it.

Challenge yourself Christian!
